Fill in the details, save it on your computer and then email it to; socialvisits.maidstone@hmps.gsi.gov.uk

Sending the form does not mean a visit is approved. The prison will email back a confirmation. Print the confirmation and take it with you for your visit.


On arrival
Monday to Friday:

Book in at the Dinsmore Centre (this is located in County Road next to the main prison entrance) from 12:30. This centre is equipped with toilets, and baby changing facilities. You can book a visit at the Centre between 1pm and 2pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.


pact have a Family Support Worker who is often in the Visitors' Centre; if she is not here and you would like a chat there is an application form for you to book a chat with her.

Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays:

The Prison is a short walk away from Maidstone East Railway Station which has direct links from London Victoria (2 trains per hour). A hourly service also runs from Cannon St. & Charing Cross/Waterloo East (all via London Bridge). For further information call National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50.

On leaving the station, County Road is directly in front of you with County Hall on the left, approx. 100 yards along this road is the Prison Visitors' Centre and the main prison gate.
Facilities at Maidstone East Station: Waiting room, refreshments, toilets and pay phone. The station is partially step free. Platform 1 step free, Platform 2/3 is accessed by road bridge. Ticket Office not step free, car park step free.
