Visits can also be booked by email at: SocialVisits.nottingham@hmps.gsi.gov.uk

In your email you should state the details of the person you will be visiting, his number, the details of who will be visiting including all children, the dates and times of the requested visits and the VO number if you have one. A confirmation email should be sent through to you. If you do not receive a confirmation email please contact the booked visits office by phone or again by email to check.

Please give at least 24 hours notice.Emails are not checked at weekends.

The 'Community and Visitors' Centre' has recently been refurbished and Pact now run the family support services. They can provide information, support, guidance and sell refreshments and snacks.


Booking on-line
You can now book visits to this prison on-line without a Visiting Order (VO).
You will need the prisoner’s full name, date of birth, prison number and prison.
Provide three alternative visit slots and you will get a confirmation email within three days.
It is still be possible to book visits by phoning the booking line but the new system should do much to overcome the frustration and waiting on the phone for hours that is currently experienced although if you are looking to book at short notice it may still be better to telephone where possible.

Family Visits

Family Visits occur on the third Monday of each month from 9am - 11am. It is the prisoners responsibility to apply for a family visit. Once approved you will be notified.

Family visits offer a more child focused visiting experience. Usual restrictions of sitting at tables with little contact do not occur and fathers are encouraged to play and engage with their children.
