The prison is operated by Kalyx


There is a main line station in Peterborough City Centre. The prison is a 10 minute taxi ride away. Alternatively it is possible to walk to the prison along Bourges Boulevard / Mayors Walk – taking around 20 minutes.

Facilities at Peterborough Station: Waiting room, refreshments, toilets, baby changing facilities, pay phone and ATM. The station is step free - Steps to platforms 3, 4 & 5 or a ramp bridge at the North end of station. An electric mobility assistance buggy for passengers who would like assistance to platforms 3, 4 & 5 is available between 0600-2200. Ticket Office and Car Park are step free.

Monday to Saturday - Buses run every ten minutes from the City Centre Bus Station (Bay 2). The nearest bus stop to the prison is on Westfield Road – opposite the Shell petrol station. Travel time from the City Centre to Westfield Road is approximately ten minutes. It is then approx a 15 minute walk to the prison entrance.

Tip from a visitor:

Take the no 3 bus get off at first stop, walk back to crossing and use footpath through park bear left and follow prison wall round until you see centre

Buses also run on a Sunday from Bay 2 at half hourly intervals between 10.15 am and 5.15 pm. Thereafter the buses run every hour at a quarter past the hour.
