Induction sessions are provided by Visits Staff for all new visitors to ensure they are aware of all the processes and procedures which take place when entering the establishment.

 

Check which wing the person you are visiting is on because this may affect which days you can visit.


 


 

Travel Information

Train:
On leaving the station (Stafford connects to London Euston), use the pedestrian crossing, and follow road round into Victoria Road. Keep to the right hand side of the road, cross at mini island and take the pedestrian walkway past the Crown Court. Cross the road into St Mary's Passage, and follow the path keeping St. Mary's church on your left. On entering the town, turn left at McDonalds and walk straight through the town centre, past Marks and Spencers and you will come to Queensway (the ringroad). Cross first road, bear right and cross second road. Keep railings on your left, walk up Gaol Road and the prison is on your right.

Facilities at Stafford Station: Waiting room, refreshments, toilets, baby changing facilities, pay phone and ATM.  the station is step free with passenger operated lifts available between platforms.

Bus:
There are no direct services to the prison. Visitors are advised either to take a taxi or walk.
