The Visit Centre is run by PACT, the Prison Advice & Care Trust, an independent charity. Visitors are offered a warm welcome, information and support.

Give yourself plenty of time to get to HMP Woodhill; aim to be at the Visitors' Centre at least half an hour before your visit. If you are late you could miss your visit or have a very short time in the visits hall.

You will need to book in at the reception desk in the Visitors' Centre. The centre staff will explain the visiting procedures and give you any other help you may need. You will usually be given a card with a number on; this will ensure that you will enter the prison in the order in which you registered.

If there is a group of you visiting, make sure you all go through at the same time. If you enter the prison without one of your group they will be not able to join you.
