The following is a letter to insidetime, from issue April 2012
I would like to bring to the attention of your readers the use of closed visits as a punishment without charge or proof. Here in Castington, as in Holme House, if a note is put in the box about you then you can be put on closed visits! How is anybody supposed to protect themselves from such a spiteful action? Anyone who you might have a difference of opinion with can just slip a note in the box and sit back and watch you struggling to maintain family ties through a glass screen. Where is the fairness or justice in this?
Comments about this letter
25/5/2012 AWARE -My son has been subjected to the same. He is often being put onto basic because he is supposed to have done something wrong when he hasn't. He even got put on a disciplinary for saying "Thank you young lady", and the PO took offence to it! I cannot believe how much pettyness goes on inside! This is on par with persecution!
